Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you give us when you request a quote, book a scaffold or contact the office.
Who we are
Thompsons Towers Scaffolding Services Ltd ("we", "us") is a scaffolding company based at 10 Carpenters Ln, Hadlow, Tonbridge, Kent TN11 0HW. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us on 07355 037000 or at thompsonstowers@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Enquiry details; your name, phone number, email address, property postcode, the type of work and any job details you send through our quote form, by email or over the phone.
- Job records; survey notes, quotes, scaffold designs, inspection records and invoices relating to work we carry out.
- Technical data; basic information your browser sends when you visit this website, such as pages viewed and general location, used only to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful.
How we use it
- To arrange your free site survey and prepare a written quote.
- To plan, erect, inspect, maintain and dismantle your scaffold.
- To keep the health and safety records the law requires us to keep, including risk assessments, method statements and inspection reports.
- To invoice you and keep accounting records.
- To answer questions and respond to complaints.
Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one), legal obligation (health and safety, tax) and legitimate interests (running and improving our business). We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing to you unless you have asked for it.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary: with our insurers or scaffold designers where a design or claim requires it, with our accountant, with our IT and form-handling providers who host this website and process enquiries on our behalf, and with the main contractor or property owner where you have asked us to work on their site. We disclose information to regulators or authorities only where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Records of completed jobs, including inspection records and invoices, are kept for at least six years to meet accounting and liability requirements, and longer where safety records must be retained.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we relied on it. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies and similar storage needed to make pages load and forms work correctly. Where an embedded Google Map is shown, Google may set its own cookies; you can control these through your browser settings.
